The Seven Sisters Ultimate Guide is a downloadable PDF walking guide to the Seven Sisters chalk cliffs in East Sussex. It covers all seven named cliffs west to east (Haven Brow, Short Brow, Rough Brow, Brass Point, Flagstaff Point, Bailey's Hill, and Went Hill Brow), a schematic map of every car park, station and viewpoint between Seaford and Eastbourne, four graded walking routes with elevation profiles, tide and beach-access windows for Cuckmere Haven and Birling Gap, a detailed parking strategy for Birling Gap car park and Exceat, a month-by-month light calendar and seasonal planner, accommodation and food guidance, three ready-made day plans, and a full safety and packing section. Written by Alen Marrick after seven years of field research and 200+ walks along the South Downs Way coastal section between Seaford and Eastbourne.

What walkers say
"The tide-window page alone saved our trip. We would have turned back at Cuckmere Haven without it."
Rachel T.
Visited April
"Finally a guide that tells you the parking truth. We arrived at 8:45am and walked straight in."
James & Pippa
Day trip from London
"Alen knows things the NT signs don't tell you. The geology section changed how we looked at the cliffs."

Inside the PDF
Designed for the cliff, not the sofa
Every section is laid out for quick scanning in bright light, on a phone screen, with cold hands.
01
The Seven Sisters
Named west to east — Haven Brow to Went Hill Brow — each with its height in metres, what the chalk tells you about its age, and the viewpoints that make the photography worthwhile.
02
Four Graded Routes
Full traverse (13.5km), the classic walk (6.5km), the Birling Gap loop, and the flat Cuckmere valley path for families. Turn-by-turn, with elevation profiles — works without a signal.
03
Tides & The Coast Map
The safe beach window at Cuckmere Haven and Birling Gap, swimming safety, and a schematic map of every car park, station, café and viewpoint between Seaford and Eastbourne.
04
Parking Strategy
Birling Gap, Exceat, and Seaford. Arrival times that avoid the queues by month. Three alternatives locals use when all the main car parks are full by 10am.
05
Seasonal Planner
What to expect each month — wildflower bloom windows, beach swimming conditions, typical crowd levels, and the months when the light turns the chalk faces gold at 5pm.
06
Safety & Emergencies
The gaps where you can descend or call for help. What to do if the weather closes in above Rough Brow. The one rule about cliff edges that the NT doesn't spell out clearly enough.

Alen Marrick
Seven years. 200+ walks. Every cliff, every season, in every light. The Ultimate Guide is not assembled from other guides — it is Alen's own field notes, condensed to what actually matters when you're standing at the trailhead at 9am wondering whether to start.
SevenSisters.co.uk launched in 2019 as a deliberately small, independent site. No SEO filler, no sponsored content, no corporate voice. Just the detail you need and the context to use it.
Questions
What format is it?
A PDF optimised for phone screens — designed to be readable at arm's length, in direct sunlight. Save it to Apple Books, Google Drive, or any PDF reader before you leave. Works completely offline.
How is this different from the free guide?
The free guide covers the basic route and tide rule — it's the quick reference you save the night before. The Ultimate Guide is the full system: 24 designed pages with the coast mapped, four graded routes with profiles, parking strategy, the light calendar and seasonal planner, where to stay and eat, three ready-made day plans, and the extended safety and packing section. About four times the detail.
When does it expire?
It doesn't. The download link is permanent. The PDF itself has no DRM — save it anywhere, share it with your walking partner.
Is the information kept current?
Access conditions, path closures, and known changes are reviewed each season, and the download link always serves the latest edition.
What payment methods are accepted?
Stripe accepts all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex), Apple Pay, and Google Pay. No account needed.
Can I get a refund?
Digital downloads are non-refundable once delivered. If you have a problem with the file, reply to your download email and Alen will sort it out.
Don’t wing it on the day
